KRKA

The National park Krka is a natural phenomen of dalmation karst region. In its couse towards the sea, the river Krka created numerous picturesque lakes and waterfalls, among which Skradinski Buk and Ro???ki slap are the best known of all. Skradinski Buk is also the tallest travertine barrier in Europe. On the lake, upriver from the Skradinski Buk is a small island Visovac with a franciscan monastery from the 14 th century and a library. National park is located 15 km from ???ibenik and only 5 from small historical town of Skradin.
